Abstract
441,164. Force-measuring devices. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and ERIKSEN, J., c/o General Electric Co., Ltd., Stoke, Coventry. Jan. 18, 1935, No. 1681. [Class 106 (ii)] Relates to devices of the type set out in Specification 323,282, [Class 106 (ii)], which are adapted to measure the pressures exerted by electrical contact making springs and consists in providing a micrometer calibration for the nut controlling the pressure to be exerted by the blade of the device and in making the blade detachable. The nut 10 is provided with graduations 4 co-operating with a zero line on the end of the case 13. The pointer 12, as in the prior Specification, moves over a scale 6. The blade 1 is made detachable and fits into a slot in the wedge-shaped member 2 to which it is secured by the ring 3 which is slid over the member 2. When not in use the blade 1 is stored by inserting one end in a hole in the case 13, the other end being held by a spring 5.
