[Class 19] [See also Groups VI and XVII] Appliances for applying cuticle remover, polish, or paint to the nails comprising a container 2 for liquid having a closure member 4 serving as an applicator are characterized in that the closure member fits on to the container, preferably by screwing as at 5, and has a fine delivery orifice 9 in which case it is of hard material and is shaped as at 8 to act as a nail or corn scraper, or is provided with an applicator of brush hairs, sponge rubber, or a centrally bored soft rubber pad. The closure member may be of soft rubber moulded integrally with the soft rubber pad. The container 2 is preferably tubular and non-refillable, the contents being ejectable therefrom only by shaking. A sheath 13 for the container is preferably provided and may abut against or have a press or screw joint with the closure member 4. A cap 11, having a tip 12 shaped as a nail scraper, may be screwed on to the closure at 10 or on to the sheath at 15. A washer 6 is provided between container and closure and when the applicator comprises brush hairs the washer is of sponge rubber and forms a bed for the brush. A file or knife may be hinged or otherwise connected to the device. The Provisional Specifications refer to the provision of a self-filling device, and one of them to the provision in the closure of a liquid-delivery controlling valve.
