447,098. Golf clubs. LARD, A. E., c/o The Westchester, Washington, U.S.A. Aug. 3, 1935, No. 22077. Convention date, Aug. 13, 1934. [Class 132 (ii)] A golf club of the " iron " type is formed with a non-metallic moulded composition head in which a weighting plate conforming approximately in size and shape to the striking face is secured. The head 10 having an integral blade 11 and neck 20 is formed of composition, for example, moulded mutilated fabric such as canvas, or a resinous condensation product, and a binder of elastic waterproof cement. The head is weighted by a lead plate 16 preferably cemented in a slot 17 moulded or milled in the head and further secured by a sole plate 18 screwed to the head at 24. Alternatively, two lead weights may be used separated by a partition. The steel shaft is secured to the head by a screw 21.
