Abstract

445,102. Paper &c. carrier bags. LOW TEMPERATURE CARBONISATION, Ltd., and STEPHENS, J. H., 28, Grosvenor Place, Westminster. Sept. 27, 1934, Nos. 27667 /34 and 20588/35. [Classes 94 (ii) and 133] A paper &c. bag, &c. provided with reinforcements b at the mouth having hand slots c therein, the reinforcements being brought together in the closing of the bag, the hand slots being then in coincidence, is provided with a sealing flap d adapted to be threaded through the slots c and over the upper reinforced edges of the bag and to be secured e.g. by rubber latex, &c. carried at d<1>, d<2>, at that side of the bag by which it is carried. In a modification the mouth is further sealed by additional flaps, one at each side of the hand slots, secured to the opposite sides of the bag by rubber latex &c. The bag may be of the multi-ply type, reinforced longitudinally at the folds, the reinforcements b being positioned between the plies. Specification 442,750 is referred to.
