Abstract

444,008. Hair combs. CARSON, O. B., 112, Wallbrooke Road, Scarsdale, New York, U.S.A. Dec. 11, 1935, No. 34371. [Class 131] Hair combs for applying wave setting lotion are provided on the back with recesses 21, which act as reservoirs for the lotion when the comb is dipped into a bottle. Preferably the recesses are wider than the spaces between the teeth and are provided on both sides of the comb in staggered order. Passages of less depth lead from the recesses to the teeth spaces. In the arrangement shown, the recesses on each side of the back feed the alternate inter-tooth spaces in the coarse part of the comb, and alternate groups of spaces in the fine part.
