Abstract

432,021. Adjusting wireless apparatus. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and PETERS, W. H., c/o General Electric Co., Stoke, Coventry. Dec. 14, 1933, No. 35244. [Class 37] A flexible wire control for radio tuning devices comprises a flanged disc 2 cut away at x to provide a slow motion friction drive 3, 4, a covering member 14 retaining the control wire 10 in the flange of the disc 2 on which the wire is wound. The remote end of the control wire is attached to a bifurcated indicator 21, 22 which slides in a slot formed between two scale plates 16, 17 and a back channel plate securing the members 16, 17. The scale plates are removable and may be selectively illuminated, or a lamp may be carried by the indicator itself. Stops are provided for limiting the movement of the control.
