439,267. Hydraulic transmission of power. BROSE, W., 9, Gabriel Seidlstrasse, Bremen, Germany. Feb. 4, 1935, No. 3583. Convention date, March 6, 1934. [Class 69 (ii)] Hydraulic couplings are cooled during empty running by admitting a quantity of liquid smaller than the quantity required during normal operation to replace leakage but sufficient to produce a cloud which carries off the windage heat. In the form shown, the filling valve e and the emptying ring fare mechanically interconnected ; in a modification, the interconnection employs a pressure transmitting medium, and a spring tends to open the valve e. Specification 414,979 is referred to.
