Abstract
The stability of hydrogen peroxide solutions is increased by the addition of meta-phosphoric acid or a salt of meta-phosphoric acid and an organic stabilizer. Suitable organic stabilizers are acetanilide, phenacetin, salicylic acid or sodium salicylate. These may be added together with, before or after the metaphosphate. The sodium salt of metaphosphoric acid may be employed. The solutions may be used for bleaching. The Provisional Specification describes also the use of a salt of meta-phosphoric acid alone.ALSO:The stability of hydrogen peroxide solutions is increased by the addition of metaphosphoric acid or a salt of meta-phosphoric acid and an organic stabilizer.
