[Classes 97 (i), 98 (i), and 98 (ii)] In apparatus for taking or projecting still or kinematograph pictures on strip films, the film a is provided with one straight edge bearing against guides and one edge having notches d, and the feeding device comprises a claw h having both its film engaging and film feeding movement in the plane of the film. In a modification, the film engaging device may be a spring-pressed pawl carried by a rocking lever. The notches in the film edge are semicircular and preferably have the corners rounded off.
