Abstract

429,845. Holders for toilet preparations in stick or cake form. HOPF PRODUCTS, Ltd., 19, Great Prescott Street, London.-(Metallwerke A. Hopf Akt.-Ges.; Hopfstrasse, Tambach, Thuringia, Germany.) Dec. 18, 1933, No. 35595. [Class 18] A holder for a stick or cake of shaving soap, solid brilliantine, &c. comprises a moulded base a of artificial resin, &c. provided with an upstanding rim b<3> serving to hold the cake or stick and on to which a cover can be screwed, and with auxiliary stick retaining means integral with the base and spaced apart from the rim b<3>. The additional retaining means may comprise arcuate ribs e<1>, upstanding rings which can be screwthreaded or provided with projections or recesses, spikes, &c. The rim b<3> is formed of four arcuate sections screw-threaded externally. Ribs d<3> also serve to hold the stick, and both sets of ribs d<3>, e<1> have sharp upper edges to facilitate penetration of the soap.
