[Class 141] A device for keeping the body cool comprises a belt, band, pad, &c., adapted to be worn next or in proximity to the body and pro - vided with an air space formed by coils of wire 5 situated between two layers of fabric the coils being helically wound on a former the cross section of which is long compared with its width. The edges of the belt, &c., are kept open by short tubes 4 secured to one or both layers of fabric, and the coils, which are inclined, may be prevented from collapsing by one or more wires soldered or otherwise secured to the coils.
