Abstract

411,556. Cards for advertising. FORMAN & SONS, Ltd., T., and NEIL, H., Hucknall Road, Nottingham. Dec. 17, 1932, Nos. 35859/32 and 19625/33. [Class 3 (ii).] A card mounted on an article for advertising purposes is formed with an aperture conforming to an oblique section through the article, said aperture serving as a means for suspending the card in an inclined position on the article so that the upper front part of the article is framed within and protrudes through the aperture. As shown in Figs. 1, 2, a card suspended on a cylindrical tin 13 comprises hinged portions 10A, 10B having apertures 16, 12 respectively, the aperture 16 being formed with a tongue 19 engaging in the channel between the tin and its lid, and the aperture 12 with hinged tongues 14 curved at their ends to conform to the shape of the walls of the tin. In Fig. 3 the card comprises a single portion 10 in which the aperture 16 is formed with a serrated tongue 19. This card may be bent along score lines 21 and the parts above and below the bend inclined backwards.
