Abstract

411,142. Cups and saucers. RONEY, H. B., 2, Junction Place, Paddington, London. Dec. 1, 1932, No. 34064. Addition to 358,533. [Class 128.] The tea or like cup described in the parent Specification is modified in that the annular or circumferential flange 3 projects downwardly beyond the bottom of the cup 1 and a locating projection 4 on the underside of the bottom of the cup and within the flange projects downwardly from the bottom of the cup to a lesser extent than the flange 3, the locating projection being adapted to be disposed within the raised annular part of the saucer 8 when the cup is on the saucer. The underside of the projection 4 may be recessed to lighten the cup. The underside of the saucer may have a shallow annular rib 13 and the underside of the base 14 of the recess 10 in the raised annular part may be disposed above the plane containing the rib 13 ; a number of the saucers can thus be readily stacked.
