Abstract
418,886. Boot &c. heels. VEREINIGTE HOLZABSATZFABRIKEN FLEISCHMANN & HEILBRONNER KOM. GES., Ketzin, Havel, Germany. Jan. 24, 1934, No. 2500. Convention date, Nov. 25, 1933. [Class 17 (ii).] A wooden Louis or semi-Louis shoe heel, is reinforced against splitting or breakage by one or more strips c preferably of wedge section, permanently secured in grooves b in one or more of the sides or faces of the heel a and extending, preferably, for the whole height. The strip or bar c may be secured in position by adhesive. The reinforcement c may be applied after the heel has been out to shape, but is preferably applied before the heel is completed, e.g. before shaping the external contour or before grinding, and is trimmed to shape with the heel.
