Abstract
415,907. Disc closures for bottles. ANAYA, C., 137, Calle del Sabino, Mexico City. Nov. 8, 1933, No. 31134. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1932. [Class 125 (iii).] A cover for bottles &c. of the concavo-convex disc type engages in a recess 1 in the neck 2 of the bottle which has an undulating shoulder 3 so that when pressure is applied to the disc a double lock is formed, viz. a downward pressure against the shoulder of the recess and an upward pressure at the top side of the groove. On the concave side of the disc, packing material 7 such as cork, pasteboard, rubber &c. may be adhesively secured. The disc may be provided with serrations or teeth around the periphery and may also be provided with a channel 8, Fig. 12, to increase the pressure of the packing against the recess. The indentations on the shoulder 3 may be angular, toothed, grooved &c.
