Abstract
403,079. Signs. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, JENKINS, H. G., and RYDE, J. W., c/o General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. June 7, 1932, No. 16092. [Class 3 (ii).] In signs comprising a transparent panel bearing an inscription illuminated by an electric discharge tube arranged at the edge of the panel to illuminate the inscription by light passing through the panel and itself visible, a light filter or filters is or are arranged so that the light falling upon the inscription and the light emitted by the visible part of the tube are of different colours. The filters may be located on an edge or edges of the panel or applied to part of the surface of the tube. The inscription may be coloured with paint and different coloured filters used on different edges of the panel.
