Abstract

402,814. Wood panels; floors. ROBBINS, F. D., 129, Park Street, and HILL, J. C., 403, West Park Street, both in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. June 8, 1932, No. 16160. [Class 20 (iv).] A wood panel or floor is formed of short square-section strips with interlocking ends and connected by uniformly-spaced dowels 26a which are secured, as by nailing, at widelyspaced positions (e.g. the ends of the dowels) only. The strips are arranged to present the desired grain surface and, as shown in Fig. 14, they may be formed with recesses 23, 24 to receive insets for producing a figured pattern such as that shown in Fig. 13.
