402,147. Discharge devices. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Payne, J. H.; 79, West Street, Balston Spa, New York, U.S.A.) May 30, 1932, No. 15322. Convention date, May 29, 1931. Addition to 401,379. [Class 39 (i).] To control automatically the temperature of the gas or vapour filling of a discharge device by means of a bimetallic strip as described in the parent Specification, the device is enclosed within a box 2 provided with openings 4 of which one or some only are provided with shutters 3, the position of the shutters being adjusted by means of one or more thermal responsive elements 7. The box may be formed of metal or asbestos and the position of the shutters is adjusted initially by a screw 9. The temperature of the device may be maintained by means of an auxiliary heater.
