Abstract

408,944. Golf practising appliances. HOUSDEN, E. J. W., 10, Shirley Church Road, Croydon. Oct. 17, 1932, No. 28982. [Class 132 (ii).] A target for use in practising golf comprises a rubber sheeting 1 suspended from a rod 2 carried by uprights 3, both portions of the sheet reaching to the ground. The target is marked with scoring areas, and in play, a wetted ball driven against it, leaves a damp mark thereon long enough for the score to be registered. The approach to the target is defined by netting 5, 6, carried by a framework 4, 7, 8. If desired, a netting 9, Fig. 4, may be suspended in front of the target further to reduce rebound of the balls. Specification 300,297, [Class 132 (ii)], is referred to.
