407,559. Surgical syringes; ampoules. CHEMISCHE FABRIK DR. G. ROBISCH GES., 50, Waakirchnerstrasse, Munich, Germany. May 11, 1933, No. 13772. Convention date, May 13, 1932. [Classes 81 (i) and 81 (ii).] A cylindrical phial a, utilizable particularly in the making and administration of surgical injections, is closed by rubber &c. plugs b, c, one or each of which carries a container d for powder. The container d may be formed by a partition e closing a recess in the plug, or by a cup-shaped member fitting into or on to a recessed or non-recessed projection on the plug. On piercing the plug with a needle, e.g. a double ended syringe needle the partition is perforated or the cup detached, thus permitting mixture of the powder with the liquid in the phial. The needles employed may have closed ends with eccentric or conical points and lateral openings k, Figs. 5 and 6.
