Abstract

407,125. Body harness. KIRBY, A. D., 4, Lodge Road, West Croydon. Oct. 21, 1932, No. 29449. [Class 141.] Apparatus for use in flying ballets and like stage effects includes a belt 59 for a performer provided at the back with a strap 60 and buckle 61, and at the front with an apron 62 carrying thigh-straps 63, 64 and a bib 65 having shoulder straps 66, 67 adapted to be fastened to buckles on the back of the belt. On the apron is riveted a plate 70 having a projection 71 on which is secured a device 72, by means of which the belt is attached to the suspension wire and which comprises a fork 74 through which is passed a bolt 75 hinged to a slotted arm 76 slidable on a pin 78. The suspension wire is passed through the jaws of the fork 74 and tied round the pin 75.
