Abstract

406,211. Window-cleaning devices. GROSSE, P., 1, Z÷llnerplatz, Dresden, Germany. Aug. 11, 1933, No. 22489. [Classes 19 and 61 (i).] A plate 1 adapted to receive a window-cleaning cloth is connected to a handle 9 by means of a member 6 and a ball joint, the ball 4 seating in a cup 2 provided with a cover 3 which has an opening 10 so that the member 6 may lie flat against the plate to facilitate access to certain windows. A spring 11 in the form of a cross fits in a recess in the plate 1 and bears against the ball 4. The plate is provided with projecting corners and is covered by a cloth 14 in the form of a pocket with a rubber draw ring 16. The operative surface of the cloth is provided with alternate rows of long and short loops.
