[Class 39 (iii).] A winding for an induction furnace consists of hollow bodies 4 of non-magnetic material having passages 5 for cooling medium, these bodies 4 forming a rigid frame to which the current conductors 1 are attached by soldering, insulating clips, tie rods, or similar means. Several conductors 1 may be secured to one cooling body 4. Non-magnetic metals or alloys having good heat conductivity and low electrical conductivity or quartz or steatite may be used as material for bodies 4.
