[Class 145 (ii).] Each pulley of a band-saw machine is separately driven, as by synchronous electric motors d, or separate gearing may be used from a single prime mover. The blade is guided by rollers e in a bracket. The saw and work f may be relatively inclined, and both runs of the blade may be arranged to cut, feed mechanism being provided for this purpose on both sides of the machine. Feed mechanism of the kind described in Specification 313,663, [Class 145 (ii), Wood, Working, is suitable.
