[Class 146 (i).] In a card-index file, in which record cards 1 are placed between index cards 2, the record cards are formed with a recess 3 on their upper edge to expose the index characteristics on the unmutilated upper edge of the index cards. The record cards may be sheets of stiff paper torn from a memorandum block.
