Abstract
382,168. Parcelling nails, pins, &c. KAMMER, K., 13, Luisenstrasse, Lahr, Baden, Germany. Feb. 16, 1932, No. 4616. Convention date, Oct. 31, 1931. [Class 94 (i).] Small articles such as nails, pins and packing pieces are connected together, and their dimensions changed uniformly, by a metal spraying process. Similar pieces of material l are connected by being passed along a saddle d underneath a sand blast g to a spraying pistol h where a jet of metal powder such as tin, zinc, aluminium or chrome is sprayed on through the adjustable opening k ; regular lengths of the connected pieces are then broken off by the member m. The metal in the pistol h is rendered molten by a blow-pipe flame, electricity or by means of highly-heated gases. It is also stated that articles of celluloid may be treated in this manner.
