[Class 35.] Cores.-The means for securing the laminations are so arranged that no metallic member is encircled by the lines of force. For this purpose the laminations are retained in place by ribs &c. attached to the frame and engaging with notches 2 in the edges of the laminations and fastened together by bolts 3 in the median plane of the poles.
