Abstract

<PICT:0387226/III/1> In manifolding-machines of the kind wherein the paper is moistened prior to receiving an impression from an original bearing mirror script, a liquid reservoir 3 is mounted above the moistening felt 10 and a valve 6 controls the supply to the felt or to absorptive material 11 in contact with the felt. A perforated cup 7 may be rotated to register with holes in the reservoir for filling purposes and the liquid level may be observed through a window in the reservoir. The felt is depressed on the paper by springs 4 which rock the container about trunnions 13.
