Abstract

373,801. Geysers. MASON, Ltd., F., MASON, H., and MASON, J. H., Atlas Works, Ramsbottom, Manchester. June 13, 1931, No. 17209. [Class 64 (i).] A geyser is provided with a cone c containing an annular chamber d fed with water through pipe d<1>, the water passing from chamber d through connection f<1> to an annular chamber f<2> from which it overflows a n d runs down a spiral g<1> produced by winding sheet metal strips g round the cone. The boiling water collects in space b<1> from which it is run off through a spout. Weirs g<4> are provided in the spiral groove to retain some water in it to prevent overheating. The cone and a base ring b are removable.
