[Class 9 (ii).] An explosive granulated by the addition of a solution thereof to a liquid miscible with the solvent but not itself a solvent of the explosive, as described in Specification 296,600, [Class 9 (ii), Torpedoes &c.], is partially melted and then cast, so that the unmelted granules are embedded in the cast melt. Or the granules are added to a melted mass of the same or another explosive and then cast. The casting may be done at atmospheric pressure or at a higher pressure.
