Abstract

[Class 3 (i).] In advertising devices in which letters &c. are each formed of two or more parts one or all of which can be moved out of alignment with the others to form an indecipherable jumble, and then brought back to read clearly, the letters &c. b, bl are carried by panels a mounted removably and exchangeably in slots g in a base f. The movable parts b of the letters are each attached to a spindle d extending through the panel a and connected at the rear to the short arm of a bell crank e, the longer arm of which is connected to a perforated plate h. A plate h is provided for each line of panels a, and all are reciprocated vertically by a frame k.
