375,165. Directive signalling; aerials. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. Oct. 12, 1931, No. 28334. Convention date, Oct. 13, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] A directive aerial, of the Beverage type, for the trans. mission or reception of circularly or elliptically polarized waves, consists of twc wires A, L twisted helically around an imaginary cylinder. Auxiliary radiators Q may be attached externally, as shown in Fig. 3, or internally. The aerial system is energized at G, and is terminated by a resistance R. Series or shunt impedances may be inserted to ensure a suitable phase-relation of the energy along the length of the aerial.
