Abstract

367,179. Ice-cream and like freezers. BINGHAM, F. H., 59, New Oxford Street, London. Feb. 20, 1931, No. 5442. [Class 29.] Apparatus for making small ice cubes comprises a metal cage 8, Figs. 1 and 2, adapted to fill the annular water space between a vessel 3 and the depending portion 41 of the lid of the vessel. These parts are placed in an airjacketed vessel 1 containing freezing-mixture which also fills the lid of'the vessel 3. Rotary stirrers 5<1>, 7 are provided for agitating the freezing-mixture. On completion of the freezing, the cage is withdrawn from the vessel 3 and the ice cubes are pressed from the cells of the cage.
