Abstract
366,565. Hulls. DORNIER-METALLBAUTEN GES. and DORNIER, C., Friedrichshafen-on-Bodensee, Germany. Nov. 3, 1930, No. 33050. Convention date, Dec. 14, 1929. [Class 113 (ii).] The hull of a boat or float comprises an integral or built-up framework a comprising longitudinal and transverse members between which spaces are left for the insertion of independent, separable, rigid, metallic plates b. These plates may comprise a cover riveted to a metal frame or may be cast in one piece with the transverse or diagonal strengthening ribs. As shown in Fig. 9, the plates may be spaced by the projecting rib of the cruciform frame q to which they are attached. Where a T- section frame is used the plates abut. The plates may to made of various sizes each of which is multiple, as regards length or breadth, of a plate of unit size.
