365,001. Sachel or carton for pulverulent materials. RAFFALLI, A., 50, Rue Doudeauville, Paris. June 4, 1931, No. 16251. Convention date, June 7, 1930. [Classes 18, 94 (i), and 94 (ii).] A sachel or carton for pulverulent materials is characterized in that it has the shape of a hollow tetrahedron, preferably a regular tetrahedron. The blank from which it is formed is shown in Fig. 1, the dotted lines representing creases preferably formed in the operation of cutting-out the blank. The portions 1 .. 4 will form the outer faces, the portions 5, 6 being joined, and, after the sachel has been filled, they are covered by the portion 2 which is gummed into place. Fig. 2 shows the sachel completed, but not sealed, during the filling process. The flaps 8, 9 are gummed to the edges A<1>D, O<1>A<1> respectively, so that the points O<1>, O<11> and A<1>, A<11> are touching each other, the crease APD being bulged backwardly to present a filling orifice CO<1> BP, Fig. 2. For storage or transport, the unfilled sachels may be packed in a condition similar to that shown in Fig. 2, the faces 3, 4 being collapsed one upon the other. The filled sachels, if of the regular type, may be assembled to form a regular octahedron or icosahedron, with no waste space.
