Abstract

351,458. Printing-machines. LOUGEE, F. G., 109, Borough Road, London. March 21, 1930, No. 9116. [Class 100 (ii).] Inking -apparatus.-Means are provided for evacuating into mist or vapour from the proximity of the inking-mechanism. In one form, Fig. 1, hollow boxes 1, 7 are arranged on opposite sides of the inking-mechanism, and have their inner faces provided with perforations through which the ink mist is drawn by a suction device connected to the boxes by pipes 6. The collected ink may be returned to the ink reservoir through a filter. In another form, Fig. 3, the boxes are open on their inner faces and are provided with slats 9 on which the ink particles condense. The ink is drawn off by suction nozzles 12.
