359,816. Rod joints. DARDELET THREADLOCK CORPORATION, 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Bridges, L. B.; 48, Green Village Road, Madison, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Jan. 13, 1931, No. 1168. Convention date, Nov. 14, 1930. [Class 99 (i).] In a screw-joint for rods such as sucker rods for oil-well pumps, the screw threads on each rod are in two portions, the plain portions 17 between the threads being tapered or formed in such a way that they are jammed together when the joint is tightened. The foremost thread 16 on the spigot member is longer than and smaller in diameter than the other thread 15 and enters into engagement before the latter with the corresponding thread on the spigot member.
