Abstract
358,858. Radiators for motor vehicles. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd., 88, Regent Street, London.-(Assignees of Blair, H. J. ; 86, Oakdale Avenue, Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, U.S.A.) March 20, 1931, No. 8598. Convention date, May 6, 1930. [Class 29.] The " shell " or ornamental surround of motorvehicle radiators is formed of a comparatively thin band of rustless steel constituting the sides 10, top 11 and a bottom beading 13, and panels 14, 17 of ordinary steel joined thereto. The sides are shaped to a beading 12 and provided with tongues 15, Fig. 2, adapted to be passed through and bent over slots in the panels to secure the latter. A channel-section beading 18 of rustless steel is secured in a similar way to the lower edge of the top panel. The panels are painted and the surround polished before they are connected.
