Abstract
357,306. Valve amplifying circuits. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Wheeler, H. A. ; 78, 22nd Street, Jackson Heights, New York, U.S.A.) July 8, 1930, No. 20662. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1929. [Class 40 (v).] In a push-pull thermionic amplifier operating without a grid bias battery, impedances Z1, Z2 are arranged in series with the grids of the valves which are thus alternately active. The Figure shows an arrangement in which an impedance L is provided so that the output of the active valve flows through the inactive valve instead of through the plate supply source to avoid the shunting effect of the inactive valve. In a modification, (Fig. 3, not shown), the output is applied to a loudspeaker of the kind in which the armature moves in a plane parallel with the faces of two pairs of polepieces each pair being provided with a winding in the output of one of the valves.
