Abstract

349,165. Electromagnetically actuated valves. MUSGRAVE, J. L. and CRITTALL & CO., Ltd., R., 43, Bloomsbury Square, London. March 7, 1930, No. 7489. [Class 135.] A balanced valve particularly adapted for use in conjunction with a thermostat is actuated by a pair of solenoids arranged one at each end of the valve. The valve member comprises cylindrical heads b<5>, b<6> adapted to cooperate with apertures a<5>, a<4> in a hollow projection a<1> communicating with the inlet a<3>, grooves b<3>, b<4> being provided to permit the passage of fluid when the valve is open. Cores d<2>, d3 working in solenoids D, D<1> are secured to threaded spindles b<1>, b<2> on the valve member.
