Abstract

348,846. Cigarette cases &c. DAINES, E. W. and HATHAWAY, C. R., 15, Marsh Street, Walsall. April 22, 1930, No. 12318. [Class 18.] A flap-closed cigarette or like case of leather or other flexible material is provided with an inner U - shaped stiffening frame 2 to which is hinged a U-shaped frame 3 which is fixed to the flap portion 10 of the case and normally covers the cigarettes; on opening the case the frame 3 is moved with the flap and exposes the cigarettes for ready withdrawal. The hinge pivots 7 slide in slots 6 in the arms of the frame 2 so that the material of the case will not bulge at the back when the case is opened. The frame may carry transverse stiffening bars 5, 4.
