Abstract

346,257. Ironing presses. PROSPERITY CO., Inc., Beattie Street, Syracuse, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Davis, E. ; 324, Roosevelt Avenue, Syracuse, New York, U.S.A.) Oct. 3, 1929, No. 30044. Convention date, Oct. 29, 1928. [Class 138 (ii).] In an ironing press wherein one of the co-operating press elements, for example the head 1, moves laterally with respect to the other element as it comes into pressing engagement therewith, the movable element is provided with adjustable stops 40, 41 for limiting the lateral movement. The stops are carried by lugs on the head on opposite sides of one of a pair of bars 35 which are resiliently suspended from the yoke lever 5, the press head being suspended from the bars 35 by two pairs of links 32 which permit the lateral movement of the head against a spring 42. The head is provided with a cut-out portion and the buck with a complemental block for holding and pressing the neck band of a shirt as described in Specification 338,294, [Class 138 (ii), Washing, mangling, &c.].
