Abstract

344,107. Street orderlies. BLANCH, S. F., 20, Danvers Street, Chelsea, London. Dec. 21, 1929, No. 39148. [Class 107.] A receptacle for refuse &c., comprises an unperforated outer casing, Fig. 1, provided with an openwork bottom 3 and slots 2 whereby the receptacle may be hung upon a standard, and a removable lining, Fig. 2, of perforate material fitted with a handle or handles 5. Means to lock the lining against unauthorized removal may be provided and the receptacle may be of circular or elliptical shape and may taper downwardly. Another form, Figs. 3 and 4, having a flange 9 so that the receptacle may be mounted upon the pavement, is provided with a lid which may be in sections 6, 6a so shaped as to form an aperture 7 when lowered, a bolt 8 or springs serving to keep the lid closed. The lining is supported by a ridge 10, segmental projections or brackets, and an inclined or conical plate 11 is provided to conduct moisture to one or more openings 12.
