Abstract

332,957. Brown, H., and Yarde, C. May 1, 1929. Wreaths. - F1owers are mounted by making holes in a sheet of suitable materia1, so that the holes are formed with inward1y-projecting ears or barbs integra1 with the sheet, and passing the stalks of the f1owers through the ho1es. The holes may be made with a pointed-coned instniment of three-ray star section. The sheet may comprise a circular cardboard ring formed so as to be convex on the side from which the stalks are inserted, and moss &c. 5 may be retained in the cavity on the concave side by wire 6 threaded between eye1ets 3, 4. The sheet may consist of severa1 layers 1, 2 of cardboard, canvas, &c., which may be waterproofed. and secured together by the eyelets 3, 4; other materia1, e.g. wire gauze or coconut fibre, may be inserted between these layers.
