Abstract

332,334. Hopcraft, J. May 14, 1929. Rotary machines; printing-surfaces.-A walldecorating device comprises a fork member 1 provided with a handle 2, 3, a roller 4 mounted at the outer end of the fork and consisting of a central cylindrical core, a covering of resilient material 6, such as felt, and an outer covering of paint-non-absorbing material 7, a larger roller 8 mounted near the inner end of the fork, and an endless band 16 of paint-non-absorbing material disposed around the rollers 4, 8, and to which is attached a design of paint-aibeorbing material 17, such as felt. The roller 8 is provided with flanges 9, 10, and is carried on pintles 11 extending through slots 12. The position of the roller 8 may be adjusted by means of rods 13 which carry tightening nuts 15 and loops 14 through which the pintles extend. The device is dipped in paint and the rollar 4 is then applied to the wall surface, and revolved by frictional contact between the pattern band, wall, and roller, so that the pattern is fed forward.
