338,386. Sharpe, A. W., and Syming- ton & Co., Ltd., R. & W. H. Dec. 2, 1920. Corsets.-A corset of the type provided with means for producing an abdominal lifting and reducing effect, corprises a two part garment having side parts c, lacing strips d, and busk sleeves e carried from top to bottom of the garment, and front and back intermediate upper parts a, a<1> and lower parts b, b<1>, the lower parts being in the region of the hips when in wear. The parts a, a<1> and b, b<1> have their lateral edges connected to the side parts c and with the lacing strips and busk sleeves. The parts a, a<1> and b, b<1> are in lapped relation to one another. Strappings g measure the abdominal supporting effect of the garment.
