Abstract

338,334. Deutsche Gasgl³hlicht- Auer-Ges., (Assignees of Weidert, F.). Dec. 15, 1928, [Convention date]. Colour filters.-A light filter for accentuating colour contrasts is made of glass that is coloured with neodymium oxide. Other colouring materials may be incorporated with the glass to securethe desired optical effect. For example, cerium oxide may be added to absorb ultraviolet rays, or chromium oxide or praseodymium oxide may be used to make objects coloured green appear more pronounced. The glass may be used for spectacle lenses, for obtaining special illuminating effects, or for separating narrow bands of the spectrum.
