Abstract

337,276. Bird, H. W. Jan. 2, 1930. Rod joints.-A bayonet joint for connecting the sections of a fishing rod is locked by a rotatable ring 6 which is so mounted between two collars 8, 9 on the tubular section 3 as to have a rotary movement only. To facilitate bringing the ring notch 7 into register with the tube slot 5 a projection 10 which bridges the notch 7 is adapted to abut against a stop 11 which bridges the slot 5. The projection 10 and stop 11 may be wedge shaped.
