Abstract
335,816. Arnold, E. Nov. 29, 1928, [Convention date]. Blocks, special shapes of. -A reinforced concrete unit for constructing arches, tunnels and like structures comprises a rectangular frame a formed integral with an arched wall e and preferably also having webs g filling up the spaces at the ends between the wall and the frame. Four such units may be assembled to form one ring or section of the tunnel or one unit may be used to roof tunnel walls of other constructions. Two side walls may be formed of these units and the floor and roof of members of other construction. The part e may be curved longitudinally in some instances to form a dome-shaped contour. Holes for insertion of cables, tubes or the like may be made in the walls e.
