Abstract
322,403. Soc. Anon. Calor, and Trouilhet, L. Feb. 22, 1929. Electric hand-irons with standing means attached.-The stand by which the iron is supported with its working surface out of contact with the table &c. when temporarily not in use is formed in two parts 11, 12. The part 11 is rigidly secured to the iron, for example it may form part of the shield 10 surrounding the contact pins 7, whilst the part 12 which is in the form of a loop is pivoted thereto, so that when the iron is in use the part 12 may be swung upwardly so as to be out of the way of the work. The pivotal connection is somewhat stiff so that the part 12 remains in the position in which it is placed, but the outer end 12<b> of the loop may be held under the bent over upper part 15 of the member 11 as shown in Fig. 4.
